In an Instagram post Saturday, Ware, 34, said he’s not ready to hang it up just yet.
However, Ware does not have a contract lined up for the 2017 season.

In his 12th NFL season, the most recent injury blow could have been enough to compel Ware to call it a career. He certainly doesn’t have much left to accomplish in the game, particularly after picking up a long-sought Super Bowl title last season.
The nine-time Pro Bowl selection has been named first- or second-team All-Pro seven times. He’s eighth all-time with 138.5 sacks, including four this season. The once-durable defensive force didn’t miss a game from 2005-12.
Ware shouldn’t have any trouble finding work next season, though it may be on a one-year deal with far less than the $10 million average annual value he had in Denver.
